MakiBox Pellet Extruder First Looks
This is the weekend project that has been hinted at for a while, and it will be plugged in and putting out hot plastic tomorrow.
The mechanism is nice and compact, and should be usable both as a standalone filament maker and for driving the material for the MakiBox printing.
This is going to make the MakiBox the first printer that is able to use raw plastic pellets and also, in the near future, recycled plastic from water bottles and similar sources.
I'll post up more details tomorrow, time to head home for the night.

Very nice, it is very small, will this be available as an option or ...
Now a way to dynamicly change the color it outputs....and you have a color 3D printer
This will be integrated in, even for the first supporters.
But that depends a bit if you want it to keep as a feature of the Makibox.
Nevertheless, good luck Jonathan with the Makibox.. it is fun following the project progress...
