We've been working on that last 10 percent here, preparing for our production start in June. 

It has been a long few weeks here at the lab, but we are getting great results.

One aspect of the low cost 3D printing market is that it enables new businesses that might not exist otherwise.

It has been a while since our last update. Everything is progressing very well here, and so it has been a bit of a struggle to find time to post up about it.

Let me set the scene a bit for you. A few (Makible) nerds... errrr, engineers sitting around the office trying to figure out the next step in doing the host software. We want to do this right. We don't like the current tools out there and we don't want to be just another app for 3D printing.

Aside from the updated site, we've got some quick updates about the beta. Watch the video for the details, we will post some more photos soon, but wanted to at least get the video up first.

Just getting around to posting these photos from the first build. We are working on wrapping up the beta tweaking and should have more soon.

OK, this is what we've been waiting for. We are ready to build the first beta and have the parts lined up for the other 9.

Happy New Year! Here is the latest refinement that will be in the Betas this week. We are working on the parts for the first units, but did a quick retrofit of the new drive to the Apha 00 unit to test it out some. It works like a charm and has about half the parts of any existing filament drive out there.

Quick update and some explanation for the silence here for the last week or two. Unfortunately we had a death in the family here, and that took me out of the office off and on for that time.

We've been making good, steady progress on getting to shipping out the Beta units and rolling out the store. We'll post up a longer post soon and walk through the schedule and other things.

This last week and today has been an amazing time to show off the Alpha A6 and also a new concept we are calling the Scribble.

Yes, that is ABS, printed at 0.2mm layer height directly on the stainless bed with no warping or anything. We should have added support material to keep the bottom layers intact, but we can do that next time.

The current nozzle has an output of 0.3mm, which provides a fair amount of back pressure. It looks like we might move to a 0.4mm output for testing and then go back to tune up the rest of the system to get back to the 0.3mm.
